Marine Bacterial Genomics and Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory

We focus on studying environmental microorganisms in pollution degradation, symbiosis, metabolism, and marine ecology. By utilizing third-generation sequencing and metabolomics, we uncover the mysteries of microbial life. Join us if you are interested!

Research

This is an open platform dedicated to the study of environmental microorganisms. We explore how these organisms break down pollutants, the symbiotic relationships between host organisms and their associated microbes, and the defensive strategies and communication mechanisms that occur within microbial ecosystems. Additionally, we examine the metabolic functions of microbes (including their role in processing waste) and their applications in natural drug development. Our research also investigates the ecological roles of marine microorganisms within artificial marine environments, such as those impacted by oceanic plastic waste. By leveraging third-generation sequencing technologies and metabolomics, we delve into the fascinating world of marine microorganisms. If you are interested, we warmly invite you to join us and explore the endless possibilities together!
